Trade the ordinary for the elemental. Join us for a five-day sea kayak journey along one of Britain’s most spectacular coastlines — from the sheltered waters of Falmouth Bay to the Atlantic cliffs of Land’s End and Sennen Cove.

This is no packaged holiday — it’s a real expedition: the rhythm of the tides, the salt in the air, and nights spent under the stars on beaches.

About the expedition:

Each day unfolds with the coast — headlands, sea arches, and quiet coves carved by centuries of wind and swell.

We launch from Falmouth, tracing the south coast past the lush creeks of the Helford River, then round the rugged Lizard Peninsula where turquoise water crashes beneath towering cliffs.

By day four, we’re rounding Land’s End, the western edge of England, where the Atlantic breathes its full force. We finish in Sennen Cove, a small surf village where the journey ends — and a cold pint or hot meal awaits. Expect 10–20 km of paddling per day, enough to challenge your body while leaving space to savour the wild.

Who is this for?

This expedition is designed for paddlers with previous sea kayaking experience, comfortable spending several hours on the water and navigating coastal conditions.
If you crave adventure, solitude, and that satisfying ache that comes from earning every view — this is your trip.

Highlights of the trip:

- Paddle 60–80 km along Cornwall’s most dramatic and historic coastline

- Rounding The Lizard and Land’s End by kayak — a lifetime memory

- Wild camping on secret beaches under vast night skies

- Wildlife encounters: seals, gannets, and maybe dolphins if you’re lucky

- Local guide who know every tide race, reef, and pub worth finding

The Spirit of the Trip:

This isn’t a race — it’s a rhythm.

You’ll learn to read the tides, find calm between the swells, and move with the ocean instead of against it.

Each morning brings new light on the cliffs; each evening, the quiet satisfaction of arriving somewhere truly wild.

Schedule:

We arrive in Cornwall on February 28, spending the night in Falmouth to prepare for the journey ahead. The next morning, we pack our kayaks and set off early, ready to begin our exploration of the stunning Cornish coastline.

From March 1 to March 5, we paddle through some of Cornwall’s most dramatic and beautiful seascapes — discovering hidden coves, sea cliffs, and remote beaches along the way.

On March 5, we land at our final destination and check into a comfortable hotel for some well-earned rest and a touch of luxury after days on the water.

On March 6, you can either begin your journey home or extend your stay to continue enjoying Cornwall at your own pace.

Experience required:

We require that you have passed a 3 star sea kayak course (ISKGA Fundamentals III, teknikkurs from NPF, 3 star BCU or equivalent). Alternatively you must have sufficient experience to paddle in 3 star conditions (1,25 meter waves, 8 m/s wind). Furthermore you must know how to land a sea kayak in surf so some surfing experience will be essential. There may be surf conditions on our landing beaches and surf zones are relatively high risk areas.

We also ask that you are a contributing member of the group. We need all the members of the group to contribute where they can, whether at sea or on land. We will be isolated and it’s therefore important that everyone assist each other whenever possible.

Medical / health issues:
If you have any health issues affecting yourself or the group, please let us know in advance. You are responsible for qualifying yourself fit and healthy enough to participate.

Insurance:
Travel insurance is always recommended. You are responsible for having the appropriate accident and travel insurance for sea kayaking on a remote coastline for several days. Call your insurance agency if in doubt. We recommend booking a flight which includes cancellation insurance.
